About

This blog was initially started so that I could keep an eye on the trends and functionality of WordPress. I didn’t really know what I was going to use it for, but figured it’s always a good idea to have somewhere to note down thoughts and musings.

Then, in late 2007, I had some computer “issues” and I decided to use this blog as a place to store notes to myself around my specific IT setup. You know what it’s like – you trawl through hundreds of blog posts, piecing together your picture which is slightly different from every post you read…well, I got tired of that! 🙂

So, this blog contains a bunch of notes and thoughts on the various technologies I’m using (or have used) and tips and tricks I’ve discovered along the way. Be it Ubuntu Linux or Windows XP, virtualisation or MythTV – if I’ve used it and found out something useful about it, I’ve added it here.

Hopefully this will be of some help to me and others as time progresses.

Cheers all,

thecrane
